Qualification Overview
Allenby Training Services offers Level 2 NVQs across a wide range of Plant Operations and Civil Engineering Services pathways. These work based qualifications are designed for individuals currently working in the construction and utilities sectors who need to demonstrate their occupational competence.
Whether you operate plant machinery such as excavators or dumpers, or work in groundworks, drainage, or highways, completing an NVQ is a key step toward becoming a fully recognised and qualified operative.
Many of our NVQs lead to a CPCS Blue Competent Operator Card, NPORS Competent Operator Card, or recognition under other industry card schemes.

Assessment Process
The NVQ is assessed onsite during normal working hours, minimising disruption. Evidence is gathered through:
- Observations of you working
- Photographs / videos of work activities
- Witness testimonies from supervisors or managers
- Work records and documentation
- Professional discussion with your assessor
Entry Requirements
- A current job role relevant to the NVQ you’re completing
- Good understanding of spoken and written English
- 1 form of photographic ID
- Full PPE relevant to your site and role (e.g. hard hat, boots, gloves, hi-vis)
- A witness statement from someone familiar with your work (e.g. supervisor)
