NVQ
National Vocational Qualification
The NVQ a daunting prospect for some, but in reality an achievement made simple by teamwork.
The Candidate the person taking the NVQ will be guided by an Assessor through their qualification.
The Assessor the person who visits the Candidate on site judges the Evidence the Candidate produces.
The Evidence the Candidate gathers from work and their Employer proves their ability to perform the skills required for the qualification.
The Employer is a crucial link between the Assessor the Candidate and their qualification. In most cases the Employer will be claiming a CITB grant for the candidate achieving their qualification, it is in their best interests to assist both Candidate and Assessor.
How it Works
The Teamwork approach ensures no opportunity is missed to identify and collect the Evidence required, such as: - Observation, Oral Questioning, Photographs and Witness Testimonies. All these methods are used by the Team and designed not to interfere with the day-to-day site work. On the first visit the Assessor will sit down with the Candidate and agree an Action Plan for the qualification, this will set down how and when the will be completed.
