Manual Handling Training
Each year approximately 5.5 million working days are lost through manual handling related injuries and 50,000 accidents are reported. This is 1000 each week. This is far and away the worst health and safety problem in all industries.
Most people learn bad habits with regard to manual handling at an early age and this makes the process of maintaining correct technique that much more difficult to implement in the workplace.
The training course is interactive and requires trainees to identify both problems and solutions and therefore become more involved in the training process. However supervisors, foremen and managers will need to be involved to maintain correct techniques in the future.
