Fork Lift Truck Training
All forklift truck training is conducted by fully qualified instructor.
Road Transport Industry Training Board and Plant instructors.
There are many types of forklift trucks:
- Counter balance - power source - diesel, electric or gas.
- Reach truck
- Side loader
- Pedestrian operated forklift
- Order pickers and narrow aisle trucks
- Rough terrain
- Telescopic material handler
Forklift truck training falls into three categories
Novice training
Maximum 3 trainees, 1 instructor, 1 forklift truck, maximum 5 days duration The basic course content is: theory, law and principles of safe operation. Theory test - practical introduction to forklift truck, control and operation, practical driving skills training followed by a practical test. In both theory and practical test the trainee has to reach a set standard.
Operator training Experienced Worker – 3 Years Proven Experience
Maximum 3 trainees, 1 instructor, 1 forklift truck, 3 day duration. Basic course content is theory and law, theory test, practical assessment and training as required followed by a practical test.
Refresher training
Maximum 3 operators, 1 instructor, 1 forklift truck, maximum 1 day duration. Basic course content is theory and law. Practical assessment and training as required followed by practical test.
Familiarisation \ conversion \ attachment training as per refresher training
Course requirements are trainees need to be medically fit. Trainees need to provide two passport type photographs and their National Insurance Number. The customer needs to provide a room adequate to carry out theory training, a forklift truck in working order, an area sufficient to carry out practical training and possible loads suitable to the work environment. Alternatively the customer can use our facilities.
