The Safe Mounting of Abrasive Wheels
Aim
To enable the candidates to select and mount abrasive wheels in accordance with the regulations.
Objectives
- The hazards arising from the use of Abrasive wheels
- Methods of making abrasive wheels as to type and speed
- Methods of storing, handling and transporting abrasive wheels
- Methods of testing and inspecting wheels for damage
- Correct method of mounting abrasive wheel including knowledge of and function of the components
- Method of dressing a wheel
- Adjustment of rest
- Requirements of regulations
The length of course will vary but will normally take approximately 6 hours, and is for a maximum of 8 candidates.
Training can be conducted at the clients premises or if required at our training centre in Lincoln.
A CITB grant can be claimed on the above course.
